Carry umbrellas as wet weather will continue

Director, Meteorological Department, Dr G S Vijayaraghavan explained that moisture incursion is taking place.

Bangaloreans were in for a surprise on Wednesday evening, as the City experienced heavy showers after temperatures were above normal in the last five days.

The City recorded a maximum of 28.9 degree Celsius and minimum of 21.6 degree Celsius and humidity was 68 per cent.

The weather will be generally cloudy with a spell of rain and thundershower upto Friday morning. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 29 degree Celsius and 22 degree Celsius respectively.

Director, Meteorological Department, Dr G S Vijayaraghavan explained that moisture incursion is taking place.

The temperatures were three to four degrees above normal (normal being 28 degree celsius) in the last four days. With sufficient heat present and moisture coming in, there is clouding and rain, he said. There will be light showers and small scale thunderstorms on Thursday as well.
