The Lokayukta wing has taken up an effective step towards controlling corruption in Government owned institutions and organisations, said Lokayuktha SP Eshwarchandra Vidyasagar. Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, he informed that the wing makes monthly visits to every taluk.

Addressing media persons, Mr Vidyasagar said that Lokayukta is empowered to take up suo motto actions against the accused if he or she is proven guilty. He also informed that a special Public Prosecutor has been nominated for speedy disposal of the cases.

Enquiry Commission

A permanent enquiry commission has been set up to take care of all the complaints registered under Lokayuktha.
Mr Vidyasagar informed that a request has been submitted before the Government to sanction a special court to Lokayuktha, which will be more useful in solving the cases without delay.
