A college student was attacked by eight-member group at the Government First Grade College premises on Wednesday in Bangarpet.
Rajkumar of Kamasamudram who is studying B A at Government First Grade College in Bangarpet has been identified as the person who has been attacked by the group.
The police have arrested three persons in connection to the case. The arrested are Nawaz (20), Shameer (19), Tanveer (21), all residents of Set Compound in Bangarpet. Search operations are on for the rest five accused.
The reason for the attack is not yet known. The incident happened when Rajkumar arrived to the college to pay the examination fee.
Sub Inspector Y S Mohan has registered the case as per the complaint given by Rajkumar. The ABVP had laid siege to the Police station demanding the arrest of the remaining accused. The protest was taken back only after Sub Inspector Mohan assured of arresting the rest five accused.
