Reliance Industries (RIL) on Thursday posted a net profit of Rs 3,837 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 3,000 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal, registering an increase of 28 per cent.
In a press statement, RIL said its total income during the period moved up to Rs 32,211 crore whereas the same was at Rs 30,181 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. Mukesh D Ambani, CMD, Reliance Industries, said, “Reliance had another quarter of record earnings. Once again, our world class assets have delivered a superior operating performance.”
RIL’s net profit for the first-half of the current fiscal stood at Rs 7,467 crore as compared to Rs 5,706 crore, showing a rise of 31 per cent. During this period, its total income rose to Rs 64,692 crore as compared to Rs 59,325 crore in the same period last fiscal, showing an increase of 9 per cent.
