The taluk’s Nijananda Shivayoga has now become famous as a holy place and hence the Yalanadu Sriguru Siddarameshwara Swami Dasara festival that is going to be celebrated grandly between October 20 and 29 is the one everyone is looking forward to.
The pujas will be performed to village deity Kariamma and Bhattarahalli Siddarameshwara Swami and the village deity Bandamma.
On October 20 ayuda puja and Rudrabhisheka will be performed by Yalanadu villagers. On October 21 after the golden chariot arrives from the temple in the morning Ambina seva will be performed.
On Monday puja to Gangamma, on Tuesday Thotada sure seve, the same evening a chariot procession and a dance performance by C V Veeresh team will be on.
On Wednesday silver bull festival and food distribution will be held. On Thursday Ganga bath and Chandramandolatsava will be the highlight. On Friday Bilvavrikshavahanatosava and food distribution in Renukasiddeswara mutt and on Saturday Ganga bath by Kachanakatte Acchukattudaras, Gold Addapallaki festival and Uyyalotsava will be performed.
On October 28 Terumantapa Kailasotsava and food distribution and religious discourse will be held.
On October 29, the lord will be stationed for four days in Bhattarahlli after the Basava festival celebrated by the devotees in the village.
