Conservator of Forests (Mangalore Circle) T V Mohandas has filed a case against his former colleague, Karnataka Cashew Development Corporation (KCDC) General Manager Anita S Arekal “for damaging his car”.
In a complaint filed at Ashok Nagar (Urva) police station on October 16, Mr Mohandas has complained that Ms Arekal thrashed the windowpanes, bonnet and body using a lathi, thus inflicting scratches and dents on the body of the car.
He also stated that Mangalore RFO Chandrashekar, KCDC Managing Director R M N Sahai, KCDC drivers Padmaiah, Valerian Tauro and DCF car driver Teja Kumar have witnessed the incident.
The complaint states that Mr Mohandas had parked his car at the quarters of KCDC MD at Bejai in the evening on October 15 who later went for a shopping with his family. The 3 tyres of the car were found deflated by 10 pm.
The complaint further says that when his driver went for taking the car out on the next morning, KCDC General Manager M Anita Arekal threatened him and other drivers besides verbally abusing them. Later, she damaged the car too, the complaint added.
