Mulford tries to rescue N-pact  
US Ambassador David C Mulford met Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon on Thursday for the second time in four days for consultations on the status of the troubled Indo-US civil nuclear deal.
Cong not to align with any party in K'taka  
"We have our own strong base and we will have no coalition. We will go into elections when they are held, and on our own," said the All India Congress Committee media chairman and senior leader from Karnataka Veerappa Moily.
Pranab was not frisked: Cong  
Chairperson of the Congress media department M Veerappa Moily, who was also in Moscow earlier this month, on Thursday dismissed the 'frisking" reports in the media. According to reports, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee underwent a "frisk" check by security personnel at an airport in Moscow while he was returning to New Delhi on Sunday.
