As the ninth edition of the Jewels of India expo kicks off today, the stall named ‘Jewels by Anu’ is a must-visit at the venue.
The label is by Delhi-based jewellery designer Anuradha Chhabra, who specialises in trendy and reasonably priced designer jewellery.
The collection
Anuradha’s body of work includes both ethnic and contemporary themes. Titled ‘Zubeida’, the wedding collection caters to the entire family of the bride and the groom for every occasion.
“How can you forget the sister, mother or the close relatives of the Indian bride and groom. After all, the marriage of their brother or son is a big occasion in their life too,” says Anuradha, a diploma holder from the J D Institute of Fashion, Delhi.
Thus, apart from the rani haars, earrings with elaborate kanauties, matha pattis, tikkas, bracelets and special Thewa (gold etched in glass) sets for the bride, she has designed beautiful necklaces and pendants set in gold and diamonds, which can be used otherwise by close relatives of the bride or the groom-to-be.
