A team of eight visually challenged students of “Samarthanam” (a Bangalore based NGO) accompanied by two escorts are travelling to UK to participate in the education and culture exchange programme. The main objective of this programme is to provide exposure and experience of being in the UK to visually challenged individuals and exchange ideas and build support in UK for organisations like Samarthanam which work for the betterment of physically challenged people both in India and UK.

Samarthanam is a non-profit voluntary organisation and it is finding very difficult to bear the huge cost of travelling to the UK. It has sought a vibrant support in this endeavour from general public to create opportunities for the special students and create awareness about the rich heritage of Indian culture in abroad.
