Tableux organised as part of Dasara Utsav by Naadahabba Samithi attracted the attention of the people in Gonikoppalu.

Nearly 21 tableux added colour to the Dasara procession. The tableux procession which started from RMC premises at 2.30 pm, passed through Polibetta road and main streets.

The tableux on terrorism, road accidents, and scene of devastation caused by bomb explosion in Pakistan during Benazir Bhutto’s visit was the centre of attraction.

N G Group had depicted a scene of landslide in Madikeri last year, Shakthi Workshop and T N Govindappa troupe’s tableux had portrayed message of ‘Vishwamanava.’

Killing of female foetus, ill effects of use of mobile while driving, the deplorable condition of road, wild elephant menace and tribals living on trees with fear of its attack were the themes of other tableux.

Zilla Panchayat member M K Nanjappa, Girish Ganapathy, Nadahanna Dasara Samithi President Gopi Chinnappa, General Secretary Prabhakar Nellithaya among others took part in the procession.
