Noticing the increasing usage of films and tinted glasses in vehicles windows and wind screens, District Superintendent of Police has informed that all the motor vehicle users have to compulsorily remove off the tints and films on the vehicle glasses with 10 days. A press release from the SP has informed that stern legal action
will be taken against the driver of the vehicle who fails to follow the rule. The release said that with the films on the glasses, it is not prossible to identify the person in the car. Such cars can be utilised for anti-social activities. The release states that very often when the officers ask the vehicle owners for the vehicle documents, they often give evasive answers. Hence the SP has informed that the vehicle owners must compulsorily possess their vehicle document and produce the same to the officers when demanded.
Private vehicle owners, public service vehicles and commercial vehicles must possess registration record, eligibility certificate, insurance, tax receipt and driving license. Notary attested copy must be produced to the police in case the documents are lost.
