Vijaya Dashami was celebrated with great gusto and fervour at Vapasandra in the district.
All procession idols from city were brought and assembled in Vapasandra.

Special poojas were performed to all deities and later pooja was performed to Banni tree too, as part of Vijaya Dashami.

Visual treat
Meanwhile, the procession which was held was a real visual treat to the eyes of the devotees which made them to recollect Dasara procession of Mysore.

For the first time in the cultural history of Vapasandrahere, the lady Tahsildar P V Poornima carried out the tradition of  performing ‘banni pooja’ by shooting an arrow to ‘banni’ tree.

Hundreds of devotees had gathered to see the ritual.
