Garden fair from November 2

The Association of People with Disability, a social voluntary organisation is organising a garden fair from November 2 to 6, on its premises in Jeevan Bhima Nagar.

The exhibition will showcase over 400 plants grown by disabled people at the centre, said Program Co-ordinator of Horticulture Training of Association, Ganesh Hegde.

The association has been training differently abled rural youth in horticulture for 48 years.
The 10-month training includes a month of trial course, six-month training and a three-month work experience, added the programme coordinator.
The exhibition helps the centre towards achieving sustainability.

The organisation holds the fair every year to promote the nursery of the centre and to create public awareness about the nursery and the training course The training courses help physically and differently challenged in getting better job opportunities in the Garden City Bangalore, Mr Hegde added.
