Murder plot foiled, 7 held
CCB sleuths arrested seven persons on charges of hatching a conspiracy to kill a rowdy in Hennur on Monday. The accused are: Subbu (25), a resident of JP Nagar, Basavaraju (29), of Yelahanka, Wahid Sharif (33), of Sadashivanagar, and Vinod Kumar (20), Ravikumar (26) Joseph (21) and Mohan Kumar (22), all residents of Vidyaranyapura.

A car, two motorbikes, three cellphones and some lethal weapons were recovered from them.

Boy drowns      in sump
A four-year-old boy accidentally fell into a water sump in a building under construction and drowned, in Rajarajeswarinagar, on Monday.

According to the police, Sachin was playing in front of the house when the incident occurred. A neighbour saw the body and informed his parents and the police.

Fake CDs  seized
The CCB sleuths arrested two persons on charge of selling fake electronic gadgets and recovered 2,725 fake CDs, DVDs and MP3s worth Rs 5.37 lakh.

The two are: Raja (20), a resident of Mathikere, and Vinod (20), of RT Nagar.
Police arrested the accused when they were trying to sell these gadgets on a footpath in Mathikere. Another accused, Vijay, managed to escape.

4 arrested      for theft
Three persons were arrested and jewellery and electronic equipment worth Rs 2 lakh recovered from them.
According to the Mahadevapura police, the four are: Bijay (29), Kitya Bahaddur (36), Suresh (40) and Sunil Bahaddur (23), all from Nepal.

Three nabbed for robbery
Vidyaranyapura police arrested three persons on charges of daylight robbery and recovered jewellery and electronic goods worth Rs 3.5 lakh.
