South Western Railway will run weekly special trains between Bangalore City and Nagercoil for the clearance of extra passenger traffic during Deepavali, Christmas, New year and Pongal.

From October 27, train No 0647 Bangalore City-Nagercoil Weekly Special will leave Bangalore City at 4 pm on Saturdays, and arrive in Nagercoil at 6:55 am, the next day. From October 28, train No 0648 Nagercoil-Bangalore City Weekly Special will leave Nagercoil at 1 pm on Sundays, and arrive in Bangalore City at 4 am the next day.
