Dr P S Shankar Pratishthan here has invited applications for Dr P S Shankar Shreshtha Vaidya Sahitya Prashasti from authors who have written books written on medical topics in Kannada in the year 2006.
The writers or publishers who wish to apply must send three copies of the book before November 10 to: S S Hiremath, Secretary, Dr P S Shankar Pratishthan, GDA-425, Tilak Nagar, Kusnur Road, Gulbarga-585 105.
Awards will be given to two best books on January 1, 2008, on the eighth anniversary of the Pratishthan. Edited, translated and reprint books will not be considered for the award. However, new revised prints may be considered. The award consists of cash prize of Rs 5000 each, citation and a plaque.
