Italian flavours at Acharya
The department of Hotel management of Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences conducted a one-day workshop in Italian Cuisine for the IV year students of F and B Production who specialize in Italian Cuisine.
The workshop was conducted in the college by Ms.Monica Lisi, a specialist in Italian Cuisine. Various Italian dishes including salads, pasta and sauces, chicken and fish curries were prepared. Some of them include- “Orate con le olive”, “Pasta al forno”, “Pollo con i pepperoin” and “Linguine al pesto”. The students got to learn and enjoy the preparation of authentic Italian dishes with the aroma of Basil and Rosemary wafting through the kitchen.
Info centre launched
The computer and information centre was inaugurated by Prof.H.A.Ranganath, honourable Vice Chancellor, Bangalore University at Dr.B.R.Ambedkar studies and Research Centre. In his inaugural address he said, computers today have become a part and parcel of everyones life but unfortunately a few sections of the society are still unable to get access to computers.
The Vice-chancellor hopes that the center will bridge the gap and adviced the students to use the computer and information center to become more vibrant. The other dignitaries present at the function were-Smt.Jayalakshmi Devi (Syndicate Member), Sri Vir Singh (Registrar of the Bangalore University) and Dr.V.Nagesh (Director, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar studies and research centre)
