The three day celebrations will feature various programmes like classical dance performance, mimicry and ganamela, musical night which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister of Kerala V S Achutanandan.
Eminent religious heads, top political leaders and famous personalities will also take part in the celebrations which befits the rich cultural heritage of the Nair community.
During the three day celebrations noted film artist Shobana will put up a classical dance performance by noted film artist Shobana and a Samaskarika Samelan which will see the participation of PK Narayanapaniker, NCC, general secretary and actor Suresh Gopi.
Various programmes like Kalaripattu, Theyyam and Pooramakli will also be organised. A comedy show hosted by noted Malayalam comedian Salim Kumar and a music concert by MG Sreekumarm Reemy Tomy and team are also part of the celebrations. Outstanding students achievers from the Nair society and doyens of KNSS will also be honoured.
The proceeds from the would be used for the construction of a centrally located medical care centre, establishment of a community centre and to enhance the corpus and service funds for the KNSS Benevolent Fund and the Chairman Relief Fund said, KNSS Chairman N Shivaraman.The KNSS came into being on June 16, 1982 and is spread over 25 zonal units in the State with more than 50,000 families as its members.
