Queen of Netherlands Beatrix has expressed her satisfaction over the sericulture and animal husbandry projects being undertaken in Kolar district.
Earlier, she paid a visit to the Myrada institute’s office in Lakkanahalli in Bangarpet taluk and later on paid a visit to Shrinivasnagar. Here, she inquired about cleanliness, health and hygiene and also about the toilet maintenance.
In view of the Queen’s visit to Bangarpet, the entire town was decorated. The Queen and the Royal family members were given a traditional welcome.
Sericulture
The Queen took keen interest regarding sericulture. She was explained in detail about the methodologies involved in sericulture. Princess Maxime and Prince Williams Alexandar also took keen interest in sericulture cultivation.
The Royal family members were also enlightened about animal husbandry projects being undertaken in the district.
Myrada institute’s Yasin Master, Vidya Ramachandran, Vijaykumar, Deputy Commissioner G Ramachandra, Superintendent of Police B Dayanand, Assistant Commissioner M S Archana and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
The Royal family was accompanied along with a team of media persons from Netherlands also. They were very impressed with the visit and described that they had learnt a lot.
