Rennaissance on Oct 28
The Rotary International Dist 3190 on Friday announced ‘Rennaissance-2007’ a  new generation conference, focused to inspire the young generation to contribute to nation's development and transforming India into a developed nation. The event will be held on October 30, 2007 at the Karnataka Lawn Tennis Association Stadium, Cubbon Park in Bangalore. Former President Abdul Kalam, will address over 4000 students, from various schools of Bangalore, and neighbouring towns like Tumkur and Kolar. Rotary Dist.3190 has invited over 100 schools and expects 50 children from each school to participate. 

Structural engineers’ meet
The Third International ‘Structural Engineers World Congress 2007’ would be held in Bangalore from November 2 to 7.

Announcing this, Vidyashankar Hoskere, Secretary General of the congress said the event would see the participation of more than 5000 delegates from across the country.

“This event will; provide a unique opportunity for civil engineers from all over the world to interact and explore business interests. Being held in the country for the first time, the congress will also see about 20 keynote speakers and renowned civil engineers, 40 invited speakers from India and abroad participate: Mr Hoskere added. Railway mobile helpline
The South Western Railway has activated its vigilance mobile helpline with effect from October 27 for receiving complaints/suggestions from its customers on corrupt practices by Railway officials.
This helpline is accessible through BSNL lines on155210 within Karnataka and 0836-155210 from outside. Customers can also call 9448998072.

Workshop on chocolate making
The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Karnataka (AWAKE) is organising a one-day skill training workshop on Chocolate Making on November 5.
