A large number of residents took part in the rally, which started from Narayanpura Cross and passed via Geddalahalli, Hennur Bande, Hennur Cross across the ring road, culminated near Hennur bus depot.
“Hennur main road is in a pathetic state. The tar was removed from the entire road six months ago to relay the road and carry out repair work but nothing has been done so far. The entire road has craters and motorists find it extremely difficult to commute,” complained Bindu, a resident.
“Despite bringing the matter to the notice of the authorities concerned several times, nothing has been done,” rued another resident Ajith. Apart from bad road, the residents also have to deal with garbage menace. “Every day the Palike van collects garbage from this locality and dumps it on the middle of the road,” alleged Reeja, a resident.
Residents also submitted a memorandum in this connection to authorities concerned, who assured them that they would soon start the repair work.
