Kasturba Hospital in Manipal will be organising a free Psoriasis care clinic from October 29 to November 3 as part of observing World Psoriasis Day. According to a press release, there will be free skin examination by experts using innovative methods to provide complete Psoriasis care.
Psoriasis is a common skin disorder that affects skin and causes thick red scaly patches to form in the skin. It is not contagious but an inherited disease and may also result from a disorder in the immune system. The most typical areas in which Psoriasis occurs are the knees and elbows. The majority of affected people have relatively mild psoriasis symptoms. Still, psoriasis at its worst can be painful, disfiguring and disabling, the release said.
World Psoriasis Day is observed under the theme ‘Healthy Beautiful Skin’ by Kasturba Hospital as special day of awareness, recognition, and celebration of the Human Skin. For clarifications contact 0820-2922761/2571967, the release added.
