One killed in mishap
A person was killed in bus-mobike collision at Pattanagere in Kadur.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Kumara Naika (30), a resident of Gubbihalli Thandya. He was a businessman.
However, the bus driver has fled the spot. Circle Inspector Nagaraj, PSI Ramachandra Nayak and ASI Jayaram visited the spot.
Teakwood seized
Mudigere, dhns: Forest department officials intercepted a vehicle and seized teakwood logs worth Rs 50,000 being illegally transported at Kemmannugundi in Gonibeedu.
Acting on a tip off, they intercepted the vehicle. However, the accused fled the spot.
A case has been registered.
