Pak forces attack seminary  
There were several explosions and heavy exchanges of fire as the ground forces advanced towards Fazlullah's sprawling seminary at Imamdheri, about 3 km from Mingora, the headquarters of Swat district.

Nobel laureate Kornberg dies  
Dr Arthur Kornberg, a biochemist who received the 1959 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine for the test-tube synthesis of DNA, died of respiratory failure on Friday at Stanford Hospital. He was 89.
