Elated over his selection in the Indian squad for the first two one-day internationals against Pakistan, Uttar Pradesh all-rounder Praveen Kumar expressed confidence of performing well in the “tough” home series against the arch rivals.
“For the last two years, I have been playing well in the domestic circuit and the selectors might have noticed this,” said the youngster hailing from Meerut.
On the basis of his consistent performance in domestic matches as well as in India ‘A’ tours, Praveen found a berth in the Indian team announced on Saturday for the first two matches.
“The series against Pakistan would be a tough one. I will try and do well,” he said.
