Sources said the leaders of both the party were upset as they were made to wait in front of Raj Bhavan gate for about half-an-hour.

 The JD(S) leaders said the Governor’s office had asked them to come at 3:15 pm to meet the Governor.

The leaders reached Raj Bhavan at 3:20 pm. However, the Governor’s officers then told the leaders to come at 6 pm stating that Governor was leaving out for a function. It started raining when the leaders were waiting outside.  While handing over the letters to the Governor he is said to have referred to the China story.

Former deputy chief minister B S Yediyurappa has formally changed his name to B S Yeddyurappa. Change in the spelling of his name has come to effect from October 11. Sources in BJP said that he has changed the letters in his name based on numerology.
