Deccan Herald » City » Detailed Story
Politicians want power, not welfare
DH News Service, Bangalore:
Every hour there is a twist in the state political scene. As politicians are busy with this ongoing saga, it is worth finding out how citizens coming from various cross sections of society actually feel about it.

Deccan Herald sought the opinion of people and here is what they had to say.

“Our State is witnessing dirty politics. The politicians are not aware of what they actually want from the co-alition of JD(S) and BJP. They seem to be a confused lot. In a bid to gain whatever they want they are neglecting the welfare of the society and forgetting that they are the representatives and they have certain duties to perform.”
Bhargavi, Software Engineer, Fidelity Investments

“Politicians should behave in a more responsible manner. They should be more bothered about the betterment of society rather than just fighting for power. The ongoing political scenario in the state is a witness to blame game and bad politics.”

Vishwanath,Software Engineer, Cognizant Technology Solutions

“The recent development only shows that our political leaders are confused and they are more interested in power. However, it’s better to have coalition government JD (S) - BJP in the State. JD (S) as an individual party do not have the confidence to rule the State nor does it have unity among its members. ”
N Survesh, Service Engineer

“The current political developments only indicates the politicians are more interested in power and money but not in the welfare of the people. This is nothing but only a political drama.”
Neetika Rana, a BDS student

“Political developments have affected the image of Karnataka. Bangalore also known as IT capital, which has made a mark in the International map, is losing IT companies to other states because of its poor infrastructure. If the government keeps fighting for the power, then who will address these problems? It’s better to have a stable government soon.”
- Jawahar N S K,  employee in private firm

“Infrastructure is bad in our State. If there is so much confusion like this, who will address our problems. The common man is neglected. If we have a stable government, then it can concentrate on solving the issues that are affecting the common man.”
 - Kawaljeet Singh, Choudhury, a pharmacist
