Suswaralaya College of Music is celebrating eight anniversary from November 1 to 5 at Devagiri Sabhangana, 9th main, Banashankari 2nd stage.
On November 1 noted musician Vidushi G V Neela will inaugurate at 4.30 pm. K S Chandrashekaraiah, Founder President of Vijaya Educational Institute Trust will release the CDs — "Vaggeya Vaibhava — 2" rendered by Kanaka Swamy and "Vaggeya Vaibhava - 3" rendered by Padma Gurudutt, "Abhayamba Vibhakthi Krithis" by Kalavathy Avadhoot and "Thyagaraja Vaibhavam" Violin solo by Baluraghuraman.
Reputed mridangam artistes M Vasudeva Rao will honor six senior tambura artists — K S Gopalakrishna, B G Nanjappa, V N Gopinatha Rao, G A Sripad Rao, Hulikal Prasad and V Jaganatha Rao. Chiranjeevi Singh,former Ambassador of India to UNESCO, will confer the title “Swaralayashrunga” and felicitate Rudrapatnam Brothers (R N Thyagarajan and Dr R N Taranathan) reputed Carnatic vocal duo artists.
