Decomposed body of a man was on Sunday recovered from the residence of senior Congress MP Ajit Jogi at his Raigarh district residence, police said.
“A body had been recovered this afternoon from the premises of Jogi’s residence, about 200 m from Kotra Road Police Station of Raigarh city,” District Superintendent of Police Dipanshu Kabra said.
The body had been decomposed and lying in the back side of the house, indicating that the person had died couple of days back, the SP said. A case had been registered but the body has not yet been identified, Kabra said. The body had a small piece of cloth on it, which indicated that the dead person might be a beggar.
