The JD (S) and BJP MLAs are all set to file the affidavits before the Governor on Monday.
A Sangh Parivar leader, who has taken initiative to bring a rapprochement between the two parties, worked overtime on Sunday.
He has kept the affidavits of 120 MLAs ready. The affidavits are duly signed by a notary. While one set of the affidavits will be presented to the Governor, another set would be presented to the President.
How did the Sangh Parivar leader managed to get the stamp papers on a Sunday? “Oh... it was a difficult task. At 2pm on Saturday we got clearance from Deve Gowda to go ahead. Today I worked from morning 5:30 am till evening to keep the affidavits ready.
All MLAs would be stating before the Governor that they are for the BJP-led coalition government to come to power. A retired chief justice of High Court also guided us in drafting the affidavit.
Keeping 240 affidavits ready was a daunting task. Somehow we managed to get the stamp papers even on a holiday”, he said.
