State Congress Secretary K Satish Raju (35), a resident of Malleswaram in Bangalore, died in a road accident which took place on the National Highway 4, near Narasapur, at Vemagal in Kolar district.
The deceased was travelling in a car, along with another victim, Damodar Raju (34), a contractor from Bangalore and a resident of K R Puram. The car collided head on into a goods tempo and killing both of them on the spot.
Both are said to have married sisters of the same family, belonging to Kodandaramapuram village of Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh. Satish Raju was supposed to visit his wife and his one-month old child. Vemagal Police had a tough time in retrieving the bodies from the vehicles.
