Applications for Kala Aparanji award
Bangalore’s Kannada Makkala Mane Kendra Samiti has invited applications from children who have done a unique achievement in cultural and educational field.  

N Narendra vice president of the Samiti said that education institutions and art schools can name the students.
Children in personal can also submit the applications. Children will be given ‘Kala Aparanji’ children award in recognition of their achievement. The award carries a gold medal and a citation. In addition to this senior artists will personally honour the children with a shawl. The applications can be availed from the Samiti’s Bangalore office or from the Administrative office, Post Box no 49, 4 cross, Panchakshari Nagar, Gadag. The filled application can be submitted at the above addresses. The last date for the submission of the filled application is November 15 and the selected students will be given the award in the programme ‘Beleyuva Siri’ on December 25 at Nayana Auditorium.

Public grievance meeting on PDS
A public grievance meeting with regard to the  food security has been arranged in D C’s office on November 3.
Deputy Commissioner will preside over the meeting where public can hand over their appeals with regard to the schemes like Akshara Dasoha , Kuligagi Kalu (food for work), implementation of Samagra Shishu Abivruddhi Yojane and distribution in fair price shops. DC Shubhod Yadav said that   after receiving the appeals action will be taken to solve the problems.

He has requested the public submit their appeals with in the October 30. In future the meetings will be held on every first and third Saturday of the month, he added.

Revenue adalat to be held every month
D C Subhodh Yadav has conveyed that a revenue adalat will be held every month in district’s  taluk centres  in order to solve the problems of the public.  adalat will be held in a prominent place in the hobli or Gram panchayat identified  by the tahasildhars of the each taluk. In these adalats one can find solutions to problems pertaining to the old age allowance, allowance to physically handicap, widow monthly allowance, khatas, problems pertaining to land possessions and grants and other related issues.

 The appeals should be submitted to tahasildhar three days ahead of the adalat as it would give sufficient time to locate the records. Public is requested to get their records on the day of the adalat.
