A total of 3,150 students studying in various schools around Mangalore University will be trained in Information Technology during the “Student internet world 2007” programme to be held at the university premises from October 30 to November 1.
The Computer Science department of Mangalore University will conduct the three-day event which is being convened in accordance with the order of the State government, stated the department Chairman Manjaiah D H in a press release issued here on Monday.
The programme has got a good response from teachers, students and common men in the previous circumstances. Hence it is presumed that the event is going to be a success this time too, he said.
The “Student Internet World 2007” will be inaugurated at 9.30 am on Oct 30 and the valedictory will be held at 3.30 pm on Nov 1.
Both the events will be held at the Old Senate Hall on the university campus at Mangalagangothri, the release informed.
