Bharat Ratna Conferred On Pant
New Delhi, Oct 29
Home Minister G B Pant was awarded the “Bharat Ratna” the highest honour bestowed in the Republic for “exceptional work for the advancement of art, literature and science and in recognition of public service of the highest order,” by President Prasad at a picturesque ceremony at Rashtrapathi Bhawan today. Pandit Pant headed a list of 37 others who were the recipients of Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards.

Emotional Integration In Mysore

Emotional integration in the New Mysore State has started and the progress of this process will be at a rapid rate hereafter. This was the impression of Mr B N Datar Minister in the Ministry of Home Affairs who is touring the State at the end of the first year of the formation.
