Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert  announced at a press conference at his Jerusalem office on Monday that he has prostate cancer but that the disease is not life threatening and he will continue to perform his duties.

Jail for sporting obscene sticker

A Filipino expatriate in Dubai is facing jail  for an offensive sticker on his car windshield, reports UNI. He was accused of breaching public decency, possessing and promoting material in public describing a lewd act.  The sticker bearing a Kiss my ass message was noticed by an Arab at a gas station who called the police after the Filipino refused to remove it.

Champion eats 103 burgers 
Joey Chestnut swallowed 103 Krystal hamburgers in eight minutes to set a new record and win the Krystal Square Off IV World Hamburger Eating championship, AP reports from Tennessee. The 23-year-old from San Jose, California, surpassed the previous world record of 97 Krystals set by  Japan’s Takeru Kobayashi at last year’s Krystal Square Off. Mr Chestnut also took home US $ 10,000.

‘Spears will harm my kids’
Kevin Federline, the estranged husband of Britney Spears, is afraid his ex-wife will harm herself and her two sons - Sean Preston and Jayden James, IANS reports from London.  Mr Federline raised this concern before his girlfriend Nicole Narian, contactmusic.com reports. He once allegedly saw her walking around the house guzzling vodka and Coke and looking very tipsy. A few moments later, he saw her breastfeeding Jayden. He asked her to feed the child with bottle milk. Federline was afraid that she was  poisoning his son.

Royal canines bag Fido awards
The four-legged stars of Oscar-winning film The Queen took top honours at Britain’s first Fido Film Awards for canine cinematic excellence, AP reports from London. Poppy, Anna, Alice, Oliver and Megan — five corgis who appeared alongside Helen Mirren in the film about Queen Elizabeth II — were named “best historical hounds” during a ceremony on Sunday at London’s South Bank Arts Centre. They beat dogs from thespian drama Moliere and Joy Division biopic Control. The corgis also took the ceremony’s top accolade, “best in the world.
