Panchamukhi:
Strange things never fail to draw our attention. Like the one in village Panchamukhi, near Mantralayam. A huge rock here stands horizontally over a pair of tiny stones!
It creates a sense of wonder in viewers as to how such a huge rock has been standing so firmly on two small stones for many year now. Localites call this rock an Aeroplane Rock as it looks like one.
Devotees who visit Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple in Mantralayam also visit Panchamukhi. It is believed that Lord Hanuman once appeared here to bless the people. Apart from a visit to the temple, visitors do not miss to catch a glimpse of the rocky aeroplane.
