Having survived some anxious moments in their opener on Sunday evening, the formidable Controllerate of Inspection Electronics (CIL) found their bearings against Jindal Steel Works, Bellary, in the Senior State ‘A’ Division volleyball league here on Monday.
At the Lal Bahadur Shastri College grounds, CIL scored a lop-sided straight sets win over the Bellary outfit. Their sluggish five-set win over ITI the previous evening was a thing of the past as they started firing from the word go. The visitors just didn’t have it in them to trouble CIL on the day.
Earlier in the day, South Western Railway, Hubli, outclassed Sports Hostel, Bangalore, 25-13, 25-22, 25-13 victory. Despite not playing to their full strength, the visitors were just too good for the Hostel team, coming through without breaking sweat.
