India's Jyoti Randhawa dropped four shots in three holes on the back nine to finish tied 53rd in the Mallorca Classic at Pula Golf Club.
The Indian ace seemed set for a top-30 finish on Sunday with his steady play before the lapse.
Frenchman Grégory Bourdy completed a fine maiden European Tour triumph as the 25-year-old from Bordeaux carded a final-round 67 for a 12-under total of 268.
He finished two shots ahead of England's Sam Little, who matched Bourdy's final-round 67 for a 10-under 270.
Little's consolation was that he ensured playing privileges for the 2008 European Tour season after being quite some way off the pace last week.
Third place went to Dutchman Robert-Jan Derksen at nine-under 271, while Scotland's Alastair Forsyth finished strongly with a 66 for 273 to leapfrog Ireland's Peter Lawrie and take fourth spot.
Champagne moment
Bourdy was drenched in champagne on the 18th green by fellow Frenchmen Thomas Levet, Jean-Francois Lucquin and Christian Cévaèr.
His first-prize cheque of 333,330 euros also guaranteed him a place in next week's season-ending Volvo Masters at Club de Golf Valderrama.
Bourdy started the final round in a share of the lead with Derksen but was consistent throughout.
Chopra tops
Swede Daniel Chopra held his nerve to win his maiden PGA Tour title by a stroke at the weather-delayed Ginn sur Mer Classic in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on Monday, reports Reuters from Miami.
With three holes remaining at the Tesoro club, Chopra edged ahead with a birdie at the par-five 16th before parring the last two for a two-under-par 71.
The Swede, tied for the overnight lead with compatriot Fredrik Jacobson and Japan’s Shigeki Maruyama, finished on 19-under 273 to become the Tour’s 12th first-time winner this season.
