Jnanpith laureate U R Ananthamurthy has appealed to the Governor to dissolve the Assembly and hold fresh elections.
In a letter to the Governor on behalf of writers - Girish Karnad, Devanuru Mahadev and Dr Marulasiddappa, Prof Ananthamurthy said he and his other writer friends are deeply concerned over the recent developments.
“We do not want the unholy alliance of the BJP and the JD(S) to form a government even if they have majority for they have vitiated the whole atmosphere by their mutual abuse”, he said.
