Morgue man finds friend's wife's body
DH News Service, Bangalore:

Fate plays cruel tricks at times. A mortuary employee identified the body of his colleague’s wife while it was being taken to the cold storage on Tuesday.

A middle-aged woman’s body was found in a sump in front of a powerloom factory in Srinivasanagar, in Vijayanagar police station limits, on Tuesday.

She has been identified as Anusuya. For over a decade, she was living separately from her husband Anjanappa, a resident of JJ Nagar. Anjanappa’s friend Nagaraj, who also works in Victoria Hospital mortuary, identified the body while it was being taken to the cold storage. Nagaraj informed Anjanappa of his wife’s death.

Robbed
A gang of four waylaid an autorickshaw on NICE road and robbed passengers of valuables and took away the vehicle late on Monday. The loss is valued at Rs 1 lakh.

Gangadharaiah, an autorickshaw driver, and his friends Nagaraj and Shivaraj were returning home after dinner when the gang stopped the autorickshaw near Anepalya. They asked for a lift to Kengeri. En route, they robbed them and sped away in the auto.
