Addressing a press meet, he said that the campaign will be inaugurated by Pradesh Youth Congress Election Officer Anil Thomas.  The members will also observe the 23rd death anniversary of Indira Gandhi at DCC office at 10.30 am. It will be presided over by State Youth Congress President Sadananda Dangannanavar, former MP Vinaykumar Sorake, MLC Blasius D’Souza, DCC President Ramanath Rai will participate.  He said district youth Congress is aiming to recruit 15,000 members. Party will have 10 active workers and 100 primary workers in every booth. A block election officer has been nominated in every block and Jayashankar of Hassan is the district election officer.

Mr Shetty informed that booth committee will be formed, and the block and the district committees will be reorganised.

Following members have been appointed as the block returning officers in Mangalore taluk. They are: Suresh Pandeshwar (North block), Denis D’Silva (South block), Mohammed Ali (Ullal), Arun Coelho (Surathkal), Suresh Kotian (Mulky), Asif Mulky (Moodabidri), Pramnod Bhandary (Gurpura).
