A Mangalore-Abu Dhabi flight was delayed by 10 hours to take off from Bajpe airport due to technical snag, on Tuesday.
Passengers who experienced the inconvenience, entered into a verbal strife with the airport authorities and demanded alternative arrangements.
Confirming the delay, Mangalore Airport Director M R Vasudeva told Deccan Herald that the flight that had to take off at 9 am, could take off only by 5 pm due to operational problems, thus causing a delay by ten hours.
“It is natural that passengers express their disappointment when they undergo this kind of inconvenience,” he said. However, he denied rumours that the passengers caused damages to the waiting lounge.
