A decision to constitute a special police team comprising DK, Udupi and Bangalore CCBs was taken at a special meeting held here on Tuesday. With the real estate business booming in Bangalore and Mangalore, the underworld activities have been extended even in this part of the country.
CCB (Bangalore) Joint Commissioner Gopal Hosur said “on the instruction of an underworld don, many are involved in collecting hafta and threatening builders in the City.”
A meeting of SPs of Udupi, DK and Bangalore will be convened soon.
Superintendent of Police Satheesh Kumar said that the probe on Subba Rao murder case is in progress and three shooters who have been arrested recently are not involved in the murder case.
