Deputy Commissioner urged the Kodagu Asthitva Horata Samithi to drop the plan of proposed Kodagu bundh on November 1 and take part in Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations.
Addressing a press meet, he said Government has already constituted committees to look into Jamma Bane issue.
Stating that bundh is not a solution to the problem, he said there is a need to hold dialogue with the Committee constituted by the government.
The valedictory of Suvarna Karnataka celebrations will be held with security if the bundh is not withdrawn. DC clarified that he has not given permission to fell trees for the construction of resorts. Action will be initiated if the resort owners violate the rules and regulations.
The revision of voters list will commence from November 2. Sampaje-Kushalnagar road will be repaired by KRDCL, he added.
