Developmental works worth Rs one crore will be undertaken in the Rajaseat in Madikeri said Deputy Commissioner K R Niranjan.
Speaking after inspecting Rajaseat, he said all the efforts will be taken to make Rajaseat more attractive by providing the basic facilities. A sum of Rs 40 lakh has been earmarked for the development of Rajaseat in Madikeri CMC. Horticulture department has released a sum of Rs 23 lakh for undertaking various developmental works.
He directed the PWD and Horticulture department officials to make some changes to the action plan prepared for the development of Rajaseat. DC said there is a need to beautify five acres of land attached to Raja Seat.
There is a need to develop it without spoiling the original beauty. He directed the concerned officials to construct two view point at the identified land.
PWD Assistant Engineer Sathyanarayana, Horticulture department Deputy Director H R Nayak, Deputy Conservator of Forest B B Mallesh, SP Dr K V Thrilokchandra and others were present.
