Though he is playing the card close to his chest on his next political move, after rebelling against the Gowda clan, he told reporters on Tuesday said that he had no objection if people saw him as one among Siddaramaiah and Sindhia.
Both leaders fell apart with JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda on the same ideological and ethical issues. Prakash rebelled recently, following what is called a “unilateral” and “invalid” decision taken by Kumaraswamy to re-forge alliance with the BJP. He was particularly upset for being kept in the dark about joining hands with the BJP, while he was making efforts to strike a deal with the Congress.
Though Prakash has been, so far, mild in his attack against the Gowdas when compared to Siddaramaiah and Sindhia, he has made it loud and clear that he does not approve of Deve Gowda’s way of functioning. The decision making process in the JD(S) lacks “openness” and “transparency”, he had stated.
Asked whether the party will take action against him, he said that he was expecting a show cause notice. “I am ready to list out reasons for my decision... I have done nothing wrong,” he said.
Prakash further said neither Kumaraswamy nor Gowda had denied his claim anywhere that no JD(S) Legislature Party meeting was held to approve of the decision to re-align with the BJP. Moreover, Gowda had continued to stand by his letter written to the Governor to dissolve the Assembly, he added.
Meanwhile, Prakash’s residence in Kumara Park wore a deserted look, a day after his strength was reduced to mere four, including himself. He is likely to be away in Hampi for three days to participate in Hampi Utsav.
