Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced launching three flights from Bangalore, which will be effective from October 29. With this, the popular international airline takes its total number of flights from the IT hub to 10 a week from the existing seven.
With the airline also increasing the number of flights from Chennai from eight to 10, the total number of services operated by the carrier from India to Singapore will increase to 55 a week.
A company release said that in addition to the daily night flights, Bangalore will see daylight flights every Monday, Friday and Saturday to Singapore.
C W Foo, general manager India, Singapore Airlines said: “We are delighted with the launching of our new flights from Chennai and Bangalore as well as the new menu. Our endeavour is to consistently provide more travel options and localised in-flight selections that delight our Indian customers. The new flights are a result of significant growth in passenger traffic from Chennai and Bangalore”.
To mark the occasion, SIA will offer special economy fares for its customers from Bangalore.
The customers can avail of discounts ranging from 50 to 13 per cent to Singapore and other popular destinations in Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, Thailand and USA.
The bookings for this offer can be made between now and December 31, 2007. The offer is valid for outbound travel from October 29 to December 31, 2007.
