Goud to lead Karnataka XI

Yere Goud will lead Karnataka XI in their two practice matches against Bengal XI in Bangalore.
The three-day matches are to be played at the RSI grounds from October 4-6 and 8-10.
The team: Yere Goud (captain), Barrington Rowland, Bharat Chipli, Sudhindra Shinde, C Raghu, V S Thilak Naidu, B Akhil, Sunil Joshi, Udit Patel, N C Aiyappa, R Vinay Kumar, Deepak Chougule, Devraj T Patil, C Raghavendra. Coach: Vijay Bharadwaj.

Easy win for     Vijaya College

Vijaya Degree College scored an eight-wicket win over SBM Jain College in the BHS FGC inter-collegiate cricket tournament on Wednesday.
SBM Jain made 159 for five in 25 overs. Vijaya reached 160 for two in 24 overs. Sonu Gerard led the chase with an unbeaten 90.
Brief scores: SBM Jain College: 159/5 in 25 overs (Nakul Kapur 31, Akshath 51 n.o, Arun Naidu 2/16, Pradeep 2/17) lost to Vijaya Degree College 160/2 in 24 overs (Sonu Gerard 90 n.o; Vineeth Ashok 36, Manish 2/41).
City College 197/7 in 25 overs (Irfan 49, Guruprasad 46, Chethan 2/30) lt to KLE Degree College 198/6 in 24.1 overs (Mithun S Patil 35, Nikit Lal 2/20).

Nanjundeesh stars in SIT win

Nanjundeesh’s five-wicket haul helped SIT beat DSCE by 34 runs in the 10th MS Ramaiah Memorial inter-engineering college cricket tournament.

Football camp for boys and girls

Star Track Athletic Club will conduct their fifth state-level inter-school athletic meet on December 1.
