To help IT professionals avail all round security in a single solution, Symantec, on Thursday, launched Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 (SEP) solution.
With SEP, customers are provided integrated anti-virus, anti-spyware, desktop firewall, host and network-based intrusion preventions solutions and application and device control technologies into a single solution that is easy to install and manage.
The solution also has inbuilt network access control (NAC). With SEP customers can check and prevent any data loss from hardware devices such as media players, smartphones, printers, scanners, removable hard-drives and other portable storage devices, which give mobility to data.
The size required to install SEP has been reduced to 21 MB, which is less than traditionally available security solutions. Further, it is easy to handle as it viewed using single console and is centrally managed.
Briefing reporters, Symantec Group President (Global Sales & Marketing) Enrique Salem said, since companies use security products from different organisations increasing IT complexity, SEP tries to reduce these problems significantly.
