Essay contest on UPA government
Karnataka Mahila Congress Samithi is organising a State-level essay contest for students and citizens from all walks of life on the topic ‘UPA Government- Its Aim, Aches and Achievements’ on at Shoroff Basappa Auditorium, Sri Jagadguru Renukacharya Mahavidyalay, Anand Rao Circle at 8 am on October 28.

President elected
K A Subramanya has been elected as the President of District Supply and Marketing Co-Operative Society Ltd, Bangalore Urban for a term of two and half years from September 9, 2007 to March 31, 2010.

Train service extended
Services of train nos 0202/ 0201 Guwahati- Yesvantpur - Guwahati Weekly Special has been extended for a period four months, till January.
The first extended services will be on October 6 from Guwahati and on October 8 from Yevantpur.
The last extended services will be on January 26 from Guwahati and January 28 from Yesvantpur.
